The following is data on the appliances with its rating in the ten (10) offices and the five (5) common rooms in the office complex. There are i. Six (6) light bulbs each rated 20 W, in each of the offices. ii. Four (4) light bulbs each rated 35 W, in each of the five (5) common rooms. iii. Six (6) night light bulbs, installed outside the office complex, each rated 150 W and five (5) other night light bulbs installed in the various hallways in the office complex. iv. Five (5) desktop computers in each of the offices, two (2) of these desktop computers are rated 300 W each and the rest rated, 350 W each. v. Ten (10) laptops in all the ten offices, each rated between 50 W to 75 W (Pick any value between this range). vi. Eight (8) air conditioners in all the offices, three (3) of which are rated 1,500 W each and the rest are rated 2,500 W each. vii. Five (5) air conditioners in the five (5) common rooms, rated 1,500 W each. viii. Four (4) refrigerators in three (3) of the common rooms, each rated 1,250 W. ix. Two (2) microwaves in two (2) of the common rooms, each rated 1,000 W. x. Three (3) televisions in three (3) of the common rooms, each rated 200 W.

Assuming the average usage hours of these gadgets in a day as follows;

a) Describe the steps that you will undertake to accomplish this task of energy audit. b) Using the data provided above, determine the total electricity consumption by this office complex in a month, leaving your answer in kWh. You are to pick any value of the assumed time used in each day. Assume twenty-two (22) days of work where all gadgets are working in the time assumed above. Eight (8) days of off day and assume that for the off days the consumption is five (5) percent of that of the working days. c) Explain five (5) recommendation s that you will propose to the consortium that could help reduce the total electricity consumption.
