Course Project Content

For your Course Project, you will be exploring concepts associated with managed care. The purpose of your Course Project is to demonstrate your understanding, comprehension, and mastery of these concepts. Throughout this semester you will be acquiring knowledge on managed care topics, trends, as well as terminology. You will apply this new knowledge to your Course Project. Choose concepts or milestones from each week for a total of 10 topics. For each topic, concept, or milestone write a brief description and definition of approximately 100 words for each. The final Course Project will be submitted in a Microsoft Word document as a professional portfolio and turned in at the end of Week 13 in the following required format:

~A cover page with your name, course, and labeled Final Course Project ~All credits in APA Style in text and at the end

~A minimum of ten concepts examined in at least 100 words each ~Properly formatted APA References page at the end

8. Identify the basic concepts of underwriting, premium billing, and financial management.
9. Prioritize the basic issues of Medicare and Medicaid managed care.
10. Identify the key components of federal and state regulation of managed care.
