Course Project: Network Security Analysis and Design

Objective: To assess students$$ understanding of network security fundamentals, threats, and common network topologies and infrastructures. Students will analyze a given scenario to identify potential security threats and propose a secure network design.

Project Description: Students will be provided with a case study of a small business that requires a secure network setup. The business has multiple departments, including sales, operations, and customer service, each with different network security needs.

Tasks:

Threat Analysis: students will identify potential security threats that the business may face. They should consider both internal and external threats.

Network Topology: students will propose a network topology that suits the business$$s needs, explaining why they chose this topology over others.

Security Measures: students will recommend security measures to protect against the identified threats. This should include both technical and policy$-$based measures.
