Course Project: Stage 2Entity Relationships Note: Before you begin this stage, review the HINF 6130 "Pharmacy Mini Clinic" Course Project Rubric. This week, you will continue your Course Project by completing Stage 2. This stage will be a component in your "Pharmacy Mini Clinic" Course Project.

To prepare for this stage of the Course Project, view the "Relational Schema" video located under the Week 2 Learning Resources. In particular, pay close attention to the description of the three types of keys used in relational databases. Then, review the "Perspective" section on pages 196-199 of your Health Care Information Systems text and pages 134-135 of your Adaptive Health Management Information Systems text. Finally, familiarize yourself with the Stage 2 Example PowerPoint slide (which shows the diagram for the pet shop data with entity relationships created in Microsoft PowerPoint), as well as the Project Supporting Document. Stage 2 Example PowerPoint Project Supporting Document To complete this stage of the Course Project, you will need to download the Stage 2 Template linked below as well as open your saved PowerPoint from Week 1. Stage 2 Template Tip: To facilitate transferring the information from the Stage 1 Template slide to the Stage 2 slide, you can copy the Stage 1 slide into the Stage 2 presentation, which will enable you to switch back and forth between two slides to get the necessary information as opposed to two different presentations. After you transfer the information that you need, you can delete the Stage 1 slide from the presentation before submitting your Stage 2 work. Identify which of the described attributes in Week 1 could be used as a unique identifier (called the primary key) for each entity and type it into the correct field. Then, add the other attributes under each entity. Please note that there is an additional table in the Stage 2 Template, "VaccineIssued." This additional table essentially takes data from each of the three existing tables (Patient, InsuranceCompany, and Vaccine), thereby serving as a link or connection between all of the tables; it also contains one surrogate primary key as well as three foreign keys. Please refer to the Stage 2 Example PowerPoint as needed to complete your assignment. Create a name for the surrogate primary key that makes sense to you, then add the surrogate primary key into the table. Finally, add the three foreign keys into the table. (See the "Keys" section of the Project Supporting Document.) Next, determine the relationships between the entities; whether they are one-to-one, one-to-many, many-to-many, or many-to-one. Review the "Relationships" section of the Project Supporting Document for assistance with entity relationships. Once the relationships are determined, refer to the PowerPoint "Tips" sections of the Project Supporting Document, which will show you how to insert arrows, draw arrows, and name the arrows to show entity relationships.
