CQI/TQM- CASE STUDY 1

CQI Tools: brainstorming and evaluation grid

You are part of a 3-person committee established to help improve the health and wellness of all hospital employees. You are to identify the names of the employees on the committee and state the area in which they work. You will represent each of these employees in your report. Your team members are to develop a comprehensive plan that will support this wellness initiative.

1. Identify team members and their departments. Each team member will give a suggestion as to how they will improve employee health and wellness. They must also list a pro and con for their suggestion. NOTE: This is an individual assignment, so you will play the part of all three members of the team.

2. When your "team" gave their suggestions, this was brainstorming. The evaluation grid will be used to determine which suggestion will be used.

3. In one paragraph (approximately 10-15 sentences) describe your approach and the wellness initiative your team will suggest to hospital management. This will depend on the results of your CQI tool. Post the report to the CQI/TQM Case 1 Assignment site (Module 9) as an attachment following the instructions.

You will have three areas for this report. The idea of each team member, posting the evaluation grid, and the decision of the committee that will be presented to the hospital administration.
