Ive only had positive experiences with HR during onboarding of my last job. A stereotype I had before pursuing this career was that you would only hear from HR when onboarding, getting in trouble or leaving a company. I have had positive conflict resolution with managers. The only time I needed it was discussing overtime that wasnt recorded and they handled it within a timely manner.

An ethical issue I could see with Amazons approach is the inhibiting of their employees natural rights to unionize. As an organization a way to encourage employee retention is to give the employees a voice. It can be through a chat box or an open door with HR with their concerns. A safety net with these concerns would also encourage employees to come forward with potential issues theyve noticed.
