Create a database using Microsoft access for a small Computer Consulting Company.

1. You must determine how many tables and the appropriate attributes (fields) required. The type and size of each attribute must be determined for each table, as well as primary keys. Indicate the relationships between each table.

2. The employees of the company are consultants. The company sells their services to a number of customers. A customer may have more than one consultant assigned. The customers are billed for the consultants time per hour. Consultants are billed out at different rates. Every consultant has an hourly rate of pay.

3. The company needs to be able to:

-keep track of customer's name, address, phone, etc. for billing monthly statements

-keep track of consultants time for payroll purposes

-keep track of all services for each customer

-some consultants are partners in the company and must charge a minimum of $80 per hour, other consultants rates vary from $55 to $155 per hour

-determine which consultants have worked on jobs for which customers

4. Consultants are categorized by a code (Full-time, Part-time, Student). The company may have more consultant categories at a later date. Customers have a type (Priority, Normal, Budget). Again, more customer types may be added later.

5. Do only when the instructor assigns this:

The company feels that it is losing track of work being done. Some customers are complaining that they are being billed for work that they didnt request. Large corporate customers may have several projects on the go at one time and they wish to see their billings reports summarize labour by specific project. Projects are ongoing and may last anywhere from a day to years. To solve these problems the company is instituting contractual agreements with their customers for work to be done. One contract may have many work session recorded against it. Every contract has a start and end date.
