Question: Create a dataset with six ( 6 ) variables and 1 0 cases ( e . g . , participants ) . The first variable

Create a dataset with six (6) variables and 10 cases (e.g., participants).
The first variable you create will be called "ParticipantID" and you will simply enter numbers 1-10. For the remaining five (5) variable, you are free to create whatever types of variables you'd like.
Include the following in your Variable View:
Name: Name each variable. SPSS does not allow you to have spaces between words in the variable name so you can do one of the following:
NameTheVariable
Name_The_Variable
Name.The.Variable
Type and Width:
One must be a string variable (i.e., you can type responses/qualitative data into that variable). Width should be set to 8000
The others can be numeric. Width should be set to 2.
Label: Include a full label of what your variable is.
For example, this might be the question that was asked of the participant or it could be a description of what was being collected.
There is no limit to how long this can be and you ARE allowed to have spaces, so be as clear and descriptive as you can.
Values: This is used when you have categorical data and you want to remember what each category was labeled as.
For example, if you have gender you could do 1= Female, 2= Male.
Or if you have a question that asks how much the participant agreed with a statement, you could have 1= Strongly Disagree, 2= Somewhat Disagree, 3= Neutral, 4= Somewhat Agree, and 5= Strongly Agree.
Once you've created your variables, go through and randomly enter data for your 10 participants
