1. Login to open.azure.com

2. In the top left hand corner click on the + Create a resource.

3. Search for new service Web App + MySQL and press enter. a. Click on Web App + MySQL b. Select Create c. Give the service a unique Web App Name (Make note of it). d. Choose create a new Resource Group e. Give the resource group a name if it does not autopopulate. f. Ensure the Database Provider says Azure Database for MySQL. g. Click on Database h. If the Server Name and Server Admin login name do not autopopulate fill these in. i. (Make a note of the Server Name and the Server Admin login name) j. Enter a complex password twice. (Make note of it). k. If the database name does not autopopulate enter a name for the database. l. (Make a note of the database name). m. Click OK n. Check the Pin to Dashboard checkbox o. Select Create

4. Wait a little bit until Azure creates the two resources.

5. When the two resources are created, the Web App Console should open. If not Click on the Web App Square on your Azure dashboard.

6. Scroll down on the left a ways. Under Development Tools you will see Extensions a. Click Extensions b. Click the + Add at the top c. Scroll all the way to the bottom until you see phpMyAdmin d. Click on phpMyAdmin e. Click Ok > Click Ok f. Wait 1 or 2 minutes

7. Connect to phpMyAdmin a. Click on the new phpMyAdmin extension b. Click on browse c. You should see your MySQL database on the left-hand side

8. Done
