Replace filler cap

Look for leaks while engine is running

Turn off engine

Wipe off dipstick

Check oil level

If oil level is insufficient, check for additional leaks or add additional oil and repeat from "Add new oil"

Place used oil in recycle container

Take used oil to recycle center

Dispose of filter properly
