As a reminder, the initial data set consists of the following 10 independent variables (IVs) and one dependent variable (DV):

X1 = Participants' gender

X2 = Participants' age in years X3 = Participants' race/ethnicity X4 = Participants' marital status

X5 = Participants' highest level of education

X6 = Total years participants have held a CFI certificate

X7 = Participants' total hours dual given

X8 = Participants' total hours dual given in previous 90 days

X9 = Participants' total flight time (in hours)

X10 = Types of certificates participants current hold

Y = Complacency scores, which were measured on a 7-item Likert scale ranging from 1 = Strongly Disagree to 5 = Strongly Agree. Thus, scores could range from 7 to 35, with higher scores indicating a greater likelihood toward complacency as a flight instructor.
