Multilingual extended family. With his multilingual extended family, communication itself can be difficult. The grandparents of my husband only speak Spanish and do not comprehend English. As a result, everyone speaks Spanish when we spend time with his grandparents and family. I sometimes feel like I have been displaced culturally because I am missing entire conversations, and I cannot rely upon my husband always to be there to translate Intro?
