Question:
Create an Analytical Report over five Cultural Dimensions of a Non-English speaking country. In week one, you will learn about Basic Cultural Dimensions. For your selected country you will analyze at least five different cultural dimensions. You may not select a MINT country (Mexico, Indonesia, Nigeria, or Turkey). Once you've collected credible research of your country, you will create a report that presents this data with five recommendations that educate the reader on how to acclimate to the country.
You will not create a Business Plan, History Report, Geography Paper, or Economic Report. The focus of your paper will be the cultural dimensions with social norms and customs of your chosen country. Refer to Chapter 3, Learning Outcome 3-2b, to read about the Basic Dimensions of Culture. You may also reference Figure 13.4 on pages 488-489 for more topic examples, just make sure to keep the focus on social norms and customs.
For a visual example of a Business Report, refer to Figure 13.6 on pages 471-480. The content will not be the same as the example, but with exception to the spacing, the format will be the same..
Recommendations - must have at least five recommendations that relate to the five cultural dimensions presented in the body. Format each one as a bullet with a transitional paragraph before and after the recommendations. Refer to learning outcome 12-2 on pages 417-420-413 to build specific and actionable recommendations.
References - must use at least three credible sources with at least one from the Business Communication Library Guide. In addition, one source must be within last 6 mos. to year. All research must come from your own findings. Artificial Intelligence of any type, including but limited to ChatGPT, Course Hero, or Chegg, is NOT allowed and will be considered a breach of Academic Integrity. The body of your report must reference material as in-text citations within your report. A 25 point deduction if in-text citations are not properly used throughout.
Must have at least two scholar secondary sources - books, journals, magazines, newspapers, online articles. At least one source must come from the Business Communications Library Guide. May also include primary sources from personal interviews or surveys, keep in mind you may not use yourself as a source. A helpful website is the Research Report Library Guide - for assistance on how to find credible sources and how to format your in-text citations and works cited sources. You may not use Wikipedia as a source.
