We operate a small but growing Car rental company in Westchester, New York. We have 50 cars and 300 customers. We have two locations, one at airport and one in Yonkers. Currently we keep track of different types of cars and customers in MS Excel but this has become difficult to maintain. We are looking to create a database to help integrate this data and to assist with reporting. First, we need to keep track of our customers including the name and phone number of the contact along with the billing address. We also need an inventory to our cars fleet, including details of cars including the type of car, model, price per model. We need to be able to schedule cars rentals by date and allow clients to pick up and drop off in our two locations. Finally, we need to keep track of each car rental starting date and time, as well as the return date and time. We also need to accept and record clients payments per rental. A car can only be rented by one client at a time. At the end of each month we will have a rental report to show rental amounts per car type.
