Create an ICS network diagram

Scenario

You are a medium sized business that exists in a critical infrastructure area. (Chemical facility, pharmaceutical industry, power company etc) You are responsible for designing and implementing a basic ICS network for use in a shipping warehouse for use by that (fictional) company.

For the purpose of this scenario you are using the the following equipment (3 soho routers, 1 24 port switch, 1 enterprise router, engineering workstation, pcs, plcs, shipping system etc)

Tools used in this assignment:

• Diagram software. You can use Microsoft Visio to create the diagram, students have access to that through the VMWare link in Module 0 it also contains the Microsoft access instructions
  • Note: You are not limited to Visio you can use other network diagram software using the free version online. Please reach out to verify other software or websites.

Directions

1. A diagram of your proposed network.
   • You will include the following:
     • 3 soho routers
     • 1 - 24 port switch
     • 1 - enterprise router
     • Engineering Workstation
     • PCs (you can use a few a placeholders for example in the business network, or workstations)
     • PLCs (one or more)
     • A shipping system that would be in the warehouse
     • HMI (human machine interface)
     • Any additional items that you feel should be included
