Create an original secondary (middle school, junior high, or high school) mathematics lesson plan that meets the following requirements:

1.Create a lesson plan using the attached "Direct Instruction Lesson Plan Template." The lesson plan should be written with enough detail that a non-math substitute teacher could teach from it.

2.Describe a student-centered technology that will be incorporated as a major part of the instructional activities in the lesson plan.

Note: Student-centered technology should be math specific and go beyond videos, slideshow presentations, online assignments or quizzes, and routine computations on calculators. Students should interact with the technology and use the technology to gain a deeper understanding.

3.Include the supporting documents used in the lesson, such as problems, homework, or assessments.

Evaluate the use of the student-centered technology from your lesson plan in part A by doing the following:

1.Explain how the technology enhances student learning and understanding in the lesson.

2.Explain how the technology might limit student learning and understanding in the lesson.

3.Explain how you could address a limitation from part B2 to increase student learning and understanding in the lesson.
