Management Organization (35 points)

Virtuality company offers technology available to everyone. The company has a completely virtual operations system. The installation of the software is coordinated with the client on the site in Puerto Rico. If the installation is outside of Puerto Rico, it is coordinated with the company's IT team to do the installation or it is coordinated with the client if they need assistance to install it. Virtuality staff go to the site and install it anywhere in the world. The company counts with the business license and permits at the federal and state government. You do not need inventory since the product is a software, if you need external products, they are ordered and sent to the customer. The manufacturing Lead time is Engineer-to-order (ETO) Customer's specifications require unique engineering design, highly customization, Customer is high involved in the design and longest delivery lead-time. It requires Seven phases of software Development Life Cycle: Planning, Define Requirements, Design and Prototyping, Software development, Testing, Deployment and Operations and Maintenance. In planning phase includes calculating labor and material costs, creating a timetable with target goals, and creating the project's teams and leadership structure. Define Requirements is considered part of planning to determine what the application is supposed to do and its requirements. Design and Prototyping aspects of the design include: Architecture, User Interface, Platforms, Programming, Communications, Security. Software development This is the actual writing of the program. Testing & the deployment phase, the application is made available to users. Operations and Maintenance the development cycle is almost finished. The application is done and being used in the field. The product would be ready to the buyer approximately 4 to 6 months.
