Creative thinking involves many aspects, but learning to think critically or creatively think requires complete comprehension. Although most people can think comprehensively, either critically or creatively, many have issues combining both. According to Cooper (2018), "Encouraging students to take creative risks by providing the freedom to explore, investigate, and engage by creating a course space that is supportive and nurturing of this attitude toward scholarship" (p 6). Although we are on a lifelong journey for knowledge, thinking in this manner contains strengths in it. Cooper states utilizing a systematized methodology to refrain from influence from others' beliefs and opinions. Therefore, using reasoning to address issues requires comprehensive thinking that eliminates biases to conclude with an open mind. The one problem that I have not seen discussed in this summary pertains to how people learn. We all gain or interpret knowledge differently, and various learning styles affect many people, such as being typical visual learners, auditory, reading/writing learners, kinesthetic learners (University of Kansas, n.d.). Therefore, a singular approach to teaching creative thinking is an element that teachers or influencers must not ignore. Moreover, the methods taught in many establishments necessitate proficiency for remembering data without context, repetition committal to memory, and test-taking the more people move away from the inspiration. Paradoxically, creative imagination is essential for individuals to attain greater self-realization, self-actualization, and self-reinvention to gain knowledge outside of their inner sphere (Cooper, 2018, p 4).
