Credit Card Terms & Conditions Comparison Exercise
For this exercise you will be comparing the terms and conditions of five different credit card offers and answering the questions listed below.
Make sure you have downloaded the Excel spreadsheet Credit Card Comparison and the Credit Card Comparison Terms and Conditions PDF from the assignment tab.
First, open the Excel spreadsheet with the Credit Card Conditions Comparison. Review the example and information columns.
Second, open the Credit Card Comparison Conditions PDF. There are five terms and conditions tables from five different credit card offers. Each has the word "LENDER" at the top with a letter (A-E). Using the information from each of the five offers, complete the Credit Card Comparison grid.
Third, compare the information for each offer on the grid. For each column of information (i.e., APR, annual fees, etc.) identify the most costly, least costly and average for each and highlight with red, green and yellow respectively (see the example row). This will give you a visual clue to which offer might be the least expensive, most expensive or average cost.
Fourth, based on the completed grid, answer these questions:
Which offer is likely to be the most expensive in the long run? Why?
