A cantilever beam must be designed to carry the loads shown below.

Design the beam for flexure. Determine $b,h,A_s$ and bars to provide the required steel. Draw a cross$-$section of the beam to show placement of the flexural steel.

Design the beam for shear. Determine the size of stirrup, the spacing of the stirrups, and the number of stirrups to use. Draw an elevation view of the beam to show how the stirrups will be arranged.

All reinforcement : Grade $60$
