Each student will prepare a report and presentation on a current event in business for your assigned chapter from the text book. The purpose of this assignment is to gain a better understanding of current events in business and relate them to class topics, develop presentation and writing skills, as well as inform other students of your findings.

Each student will pick a business article. Article must be from a business publication such as: Money Magazine, Bloomberg BusinessWeek, Forbes Magazine, Wall Street Journal, NY Times, Business Journals, Entrepreneur Magazine, INC magazine, etc., on a topic relevant to chapter assigned.

A two$-$page, double spaced, typed report with one$-$inch margins shall be written by each student. Please include your name, my name, the course name, the title of the article, the date of your presentation, the topic and chapter it relates to on the cover sheet of your report. Also, be sure to reference the article to your report. The report should provide a summary of the article and how this article relates to the topics covered in your assigned chapter, that is$,$ be sure to discuss topic in chapter that relates to article. Cite references using in report using APA style.

Depending on the article you choose you may wish to also report on other issues such as why the event is taking place, the impact it is having on the industry or the company, what others can learn from this event, etc. Spelling, grammar, and punctuation will be graded. The report is due the same day as your presentation. Reports are not accepted after the due date. Reports are uploaded to Connect. Two points deducted for not following directions.

A presentation will also be given by each student which outlines the main points of your article and report. PowerPoint presentation is required.

On Line Section: Presentation will be uploaded to Canvas.

On Campus Section: Each student will have approximately $10$ minutes to give his$/$her presentation and answer questions.

Two points automatically will be deducted from report grade if paper is not presented..
