shuffle its 300 sales associates among the 5 retail shops to cover necessary demands (i.e.,
sales associates from one shop may need to work at other shop). However, the shuffling
will cost the company a transportation allowance that need to be given to the sales
associates. Table Q3d listed the transportation allowances (e.g., transferring sales associate
from shop A to B or from B to A will cost the company RM18/person. Note that, there is
no transfer should be made between-shep B and E because of unfamiliarity of the job.
During the peak season, the number of sales associates need for shop A,B,C,D, and E are
80,40,50,30, and 90 respectively.
