Darla is ethically bound to speak to her supervisor regarding the allegations surrounding Mike and his clients. If Mike is acting unethically, he is essentially breaking code A.4.a, where counselors are to not harm to their clients (ACA, A.4.a., 2014). Depending on the nature of his unethical actions, there may be legal implications also in place for Mike.

Suppose Darla tells her supervisor and her supervisor does not investigate or do anything. In that case, the supervisor is not protecting her client's welfare (ACA, F.1.a., 2014) which mentions that the goals for supervisors is to monitor their supervisees performance and see if there are any issues that may arise during sessions. Depending on what Mike is doing, the supervisor can also be held accountable since it was done under their watch.
