Data Analysis Assignment
Instructions: Read all instructions before you begin this assignment.
Before creating a table or beginning to calculate data from the information displayed below, stop and figure out a systematic approach to table configuration. Determine the steps needed to complete the problem. For example, what columns and column titles will you need to organize your data? How many columns will you need?
tableLamb IDBirth Weights, D WeightsWoolyFluffyPuffyBaamaLucyLuckyLamb chop,GertrudePenelopeAll lambs have been on feed for days.
Create a table that includes columns for: Lamb ID Birth Weight LBSDay Weight LBS Days on Feed, Pounds LBS Gained, Average Daily Gain, and a row at the bottom of the table titled 'Average' that includes the averages of all of columns. Title the table Lamb Performance Records.
To calculate the LBS Gained, subtract the Birth Weight from the day Weight. To calculate the Average Daily Gain, divide the Pounds Gained by the Number of Days on Feed. Do not do the math by hand, write the appropriate equations in the formula bar as we have been doing in other problems. Be sure Average Daily Gain has two decimal places. Determine the averages of each column in the Average row using the average formula.
Next, sort the list by highest Average Daily Gain to lowest. Then copy and paste the table below the first table and sort the lambs by ID in alphabetical order.
Then, use a clustered column chart with D visual to illustrate the comparison of Average Daily Gain between Wooly, Baama & Gertrude. Please include the chart on the same page, below the last table. Name the table Gain Comparison and label the appropriate axis LBS
If lambs are fed from to of their body weight daily, they should gain between and pound per day. Based on the data shown above for the flock's Average Daily Gain make a management recommendation regarding lamb feed intake. Should the lambs be fed more, less, or stay the same?
Remember to dress your table up to look professional ie borders, shading, centered data, consistent rounding as was discussed in last week's learning Module on Canvas.
Be sure that all tables & chart fit comfortably on one page.
