The January-reactors-operating file was downloaded from Data.gov in January of 2020 and contains information about location and power capacity of nuclear reactors in the United States.

Open the January-reactors-operating.xls and reactors-operating-datadictionary.xls files in excel and examine.

Question 1: Does this dataset contain meaningful data? Discuss at least five of the 10 traits of meaningful data presented in the Prerequisites for enlightening analysis chapter by Stephen Few.

Question 2: Our readings discuss tidy data. Is this dataset tidy? Why or why not? Please discuss at least two of your assigned readings in your answer.

Open the reactors-operating.xls file in Tableau.

Drag Operating Rx-data.gov sheet into the data connection canvas.

Run interpreter.

Review the excel file that Tableau generated.

Question 3: Note the changes that interpreter made.

3a) What data (if any) did interpreter ignore?

3b) What data were interpreted as column headers?

3c) How many rows did interpreter remove?

Select 2018 capacity factor through 2003 capacity factor columns and pivot.

Question 4: How many rows does your dataset contain after pivoting? (Note that Tableau displays a maximum of 1000 rows. You can increase the maximum number by clicking the box containing 1,000 and increasing the number).

Question 5: Is this dataset ready for analysis? Would you make any other changes? Explain.
