Data Collection

The model relies on collecting: $(1)$ the number of people staying at each node; and $(2)$ the number of people in transit between each node $-$ in particular, the number of people leaving a given node and in transit to a different node, and the number of people entering a given node from another node over the defined time period. If there is no path between particular nodes, then note that there are zero people allowing data over multiple time steps: the veiling to and from that particular combination of nodes. Determining an accurate count of the flow of traffic through your network will be impossible with the resources you have on hand. Thus, your goal is to create a strong estimate of the behavior of the system over an undefined interval of time. Choose a reasonable time interval for each step and observe enough steps to reasonably estimate the behavior. Make sure to clearly explain your estimation process and any assumptions you make.
