Data for a survey was collected from over 100 adults to capture their attitudes about buying a new TV. To begin, survey participants were asked whether they were in the market for a new TV and the importance of various television attributes. Then, participants viewed 1 of 2 potential new advertisements for a TV, evaluated the ad, and were asked how likely they are to buy the tv after viewing the ad. To conclude, participants completed demographic items.

NewTV participants were asked whether they are currently shopping for a new TV (0 no, 1 yes)
TVShop how many times participants have looked at TVs when shopping in the past month
TVDay number of hours each day the participant watches TV
ThreeDImp how important 3D viewing capabilities is in a new TV (1 not at all; 7 very much)
ScreenSizeImp how important screen size is in a new TV (1 not at all; 7 very much)
BrandImp how important brand name is in a new TV (1 not at all; 7 very much)
PicQualityImp how important picture quality is in a new TV (1 not at all; 7 very much)
AdView indicates whether study participants viewed version 1 or 2 of a new potential advertisement for a TV
AdAtt measures attitudes toward the new potential TV advertisement (1 very negative; 7 very positive)

Employment measures whether the participant works full time (1), part time (2), or is currently unemployed (0)
