DATA PROGRAMMING: PYTHON

Write a program that computes your gross pay. Your code should get two numbers: hours and rate per hour. You should give the employee 1.75 times the hourly rate for hours worked above 40 hours.

Output:

Your gross pay is $487.5

Rewrite the previous program using try and except so that your program handles non-numeric inputs gracefully by printing a message and exiting the program. The following shows two executions of the program with invalid inputs. The program should work the same as before with valid inputs.

Output:

a) Error, please enter numeric input.

b) Error, please enter numeric input.
