         This article was about the best way to make a budget, shop smarter, and save money when where you can. The author listed the ABCs of shopping better. A is opening up an account with new stores and using new customer discounts. B is us as many buy-one-get-one-free deals as you can at the grocery store and supermarkets. C is using coupons and codes for as many things as you can. The author uses every letter of the alphabet to try and help shoppers save as much money as they possibly can. They also highly encourage making a     strict budget that fits you and your family's needs. Other helpful tips and tricks the author uses are  also mentioned in the article.

These two authors talk about when it is time to decide if you need help making a financial budget. The question that they ask is who you get to help you make a strong financial budget that works for your family and yourself. They list several steps that consumers need to ask themselves before they start making their budget, and if they need someone to help them. Step one, a person needs to look at their finances. Step two consumers need to evaluate their financial situation. Step three identifies all financial behaviors. Step four is deciding whether you need help or not. The last step, step five, is a consumer looking at all of the choices available to the consumer.

        This article talks about breaking down behavior at the store into subparts so that you can easily track your shopping behaviors, buy less, and save more money. The authors of the article stress that effective planning is the key to success using their method. You need to go in with a set list of what you need. The authors did qualitative interviews with consumers about using a set shopping list. Their research suggests that using shopping lists while at the store helped consumers decrease their spending and save more money than they had before. The authors also backed up their claim with other researchers from the past who came to similar conclusions. Even with all of their research, the authors did note that this method would not be effective for everyone. Some consumers end up spending more money than they had originally intended.

It is suggested that some consumers will try and use their mental memory for their shopping trips, instead of a physical shopping list. When this happens, most consumers will deviate from their original budget. Consumers go into the store with a  certain amount of money that they want to spend, but impulses will make them go away from their budget. Consumers will allocate their budgets depending on the brands that they normally buy. It is also suggested that most consumers cannot use their willpower inside of the store. Their impulsivity gets the better of them more times than not. Using a regular budget is the way to go. It will likely save consumers the most money and stretch their dollars further.
