You should ask: what does the quotation illustrate or exemplify?DO NOT simply insert ("drop in") a quotation without putting it into context.

Recall the steps for writing and finalizing your Editorial we reviewed in class:

• Step 1: What is your main objective? (Argument or Purpose of your Idea)
• Step 2: How can I introduce the premise of my idea? How do I welcome the audience to my topic?
• Step 3: What are my key supporting points? (Personal experience? Ethos? Logos? Pathos?)
• Step 4: Organize your ideas in a way that has cohesion (If this - then that, etc.)
• Step 5: How can you help your reader to relate? (again: ethos, pathos, logos).
• Step 6: Final or concluding thoughts (suggestions, resolutions, what to do next?)
• Step 7: Conclusion proper: a way that your reader feels closure.
• Finally: Aim to make your topic interesting to your audience!
