In drafting a proposed qualitative (QUAL) Phenomenology inquiry, how do you suggest analyzing the fit and alignment of the research design to the proposed problem statement, purpose statement, research questions, data sources, and data analysis approaches?

For consideration: my topic focuses on Psychologist Howard Gardner's Multiple Intelligences (MI), where Maryland students describe interpersonal and intrapersonal MI influences on their academic success in bachelor's degree completion:

It is not known how college graduates experience their academic success, including degree completion.

Or,

It is not known how the development of MI assessment tools evaluates student experiences through the impacts of MI on graduates' journeys toward college degree completion.

Redesigned Problem Statement:

It is not known how college graduates' perceptions of their academic success, including degree completion, are affected by the development of Multiple Intelligences assessment tools.

Redesigned Purpose Statement:

To explore the experiences of Maryland college graduates about the development of Multiple Intelligences assessment tools and their impact on the graduates' journeys toward college degree completion.

1. How do Maryland college graduates perceive the development of Multiple Intelligences assessment tools?

2. How does the development of Multiple Intelligences assessment tools impact academic success, including degree completion, for Maryland college graduates?

3. What are Maryland college graduates' experiences of interpersonal and intrapersonal influences of Multiple Intelligences on their academic journeys?

4. How does the development of Multiple Intelligences assessment tools influences Maryland college graduates' academic success?

5. What strategies do Maryland college graduates use to achieve academic success, including degree completion, when influenced by Multiple Intelligences assessment tools?
