Decision Point: Performance Appraisals

Looking at past performance appraisals and the old instruments used by managers, there is a great deal of inconsistency in how they filled out the information. Because production and distribution are spread over several facilities and hundreds of miles, managers are often left to their own devices, with some managers scoring drivers very high and other managers scoring drivers really low regardless of how well drivers actually perform.
