Definition: equity does not mean equal. Different people need different things to have access to the same or similar health outcomes, yet oftentimes, we distribute resources equally thinking this approach is fair or just. Share an example of a time in each of your lives when you or someone you knew received the same resources (e.g., time, money, materials, attention, guidance) as a more advantaged person, and yet you (or that person you knew) still could not hope to achieve comparably desirable outcomes as the more advantaged person.
