Question:
Deliverable Five: Reflections (Individual work, individually graded) What you need to do for deliverable five...
Students will work individually to complete deliverable five. At this point in the project, your knowledge of fundamental accounting should be substantially enriched. With your experiences to date, students write an individual reflection and upload it via Blackboard.
You are to write up a one to two-page statement (about three to four short paragraphs) that discusses how this project enhanced your ability to understand accounting in general.
In considering your write-up, the following are some questions you may integrate. Do not simply just answer these questions and insert them into your reflection. You are to write up a reflection that is more heart felt and in your own words.
Compared to other accounting courses you have taken to date (if it applies), how would you compare this one against all others?
Were your expectations met as far as learning accounting?
What surprised you the most about accounting compared to what you though you knew?
How did the spreadsheets help you understand accounting?
How did the risk assessments enhance your understanding of accounting?
What did you like about how this project was delivered?
What was your favorite part of the project?
What experiences working with your group enhance your ability to work with groups in general?

What was the most surprising thing that you learned about how management asserts information in its 10-Ks?
Talk about how much you know realize, as compared to before you engaged in this project, how management can manipulate accounting information and disclosures to make themselves appear stronger or better.
Explain how you would feel more confident in an employment interview discussing your ability to analyze financial statements. Did this project change your confidence level?
How did this project enhance your ability to see business in a new light when you walk into a store?
Tell how you think, as a result of this project that you could bring more value to your current or future employer.
From an academic viewpoint, what accounting knowledge do you think would have been most valuable to know and understand when you registered for this course?
How important is it to know your basic accounting knowledge to analyze financial statements?
How do you think a project like this open your eyes to how much accounting you did not know when you registered for the course?
