Enough for All's mission to enhance the well-being of vulnerable communities, which seamlessly aligns with our Food Security Initiative. Our project's main objectives are to reduce poverty and aid community development. The project's success will contribute to a more comprehensive approach in addressing the needs of low-income neighborhoods. Especially after the economic downturns, the COVID-19 pandemic, and increased food prices have exacerbated the lack of food in Calgary's low-income neighborhoods. Children, seniors, and the sick are disproportionately affected.
We aim to collaborate with local organizations, securing funding, and leveraging volunteers and partnerships for the establishment of our Food Donation Stations, and nutrition education programs to insure a healthier population.
- What: Nutritious Food Donation Stations.
- When: Mid-October to early November; ideally in sunny weather and before snow arrives.
- Who: Team members and Volunteers.
- Where: We referred to Enough for all poverty demographics charter and we plan to implement our project in communities of the highest need, mainly Downtown East Village, Bankview, Forest Lawn and Marlborough.
- Why: As living costs increase, so does poverty. Poverty is one of the main causes of lacking access to the basic human need which is a healthy meal, as a result individuals become undernourished. Enough For All aims to help families in need get the nutrition they require.
