Prepare a project proposal for an operations management (OM) lab where students can play OM games, run OM experiments and gain hands on education. The lab will be located in the department or College of Economic building.
The project would involve concept development, design, blueprints, development or acquisition, and installation. The lab should fit in not more than 400 sq ft space and initial budget is less than 100,000 and operating budget of 10,000 annually. It should use an existing room in the building. The timeline for completion of the installed project is two years. The concept development will be done by internal team with help of outside consultant, if needed. Design and any minor interior construction, if needed, will be outsourced to contractors. Funding is partly from external sponsors and partly from college/university budget. Within these broad constraints, you may make your own detailed decisions.
