Scenario

Welcome to your co$-$op position with the city! For your Co$-$op placement, you have been assigned to choose a city from the list of Canadian cities provided in the Research Project: Exploring New Cities learning moduleOpens in a new tab.

NOTE: each student must choose a different city by following the instructions provided in the learning module. Once you have chosen a city, sign up for that city in the group's forum. If your chosen city is no longer available, please choose a different city. Record your choice so you do not forget.

Once your city is chosen, you will prepare to work with the city's Welcoming Committee, a new initiative the city is offering to welcome newcomers and introduce them to the city services. You will be helping the Welcoming Committee develop a website with information new residents need about the various resources and services the city offers.

The Welcoming Committee's focus is ensuring all newcomers receive the information they need to make valuable and informed decisions as they shift their lives, family, work, hobbies, and homes to a new city.

Your Task

The Welcoming Committee would like you to research one of the topics $($below$)$ deemed critical to newcomers and write a report that they can post to the website or use in a printed guide. Choose a topic from the following list as the focus of your research report for your chosen city.

Visit your city$$s website and explore the topic you chose. Learn what the city has to offer and include details in your proposal. Be sure to properly document this borrowed information by including in$-$text citations in the proposal and a complete reference at the end of your proposal.

Your proposal should include:

A Title Page

An opening:

$-$ emphasize why this idea is worth proposing, and

$-$ include background information about your topic.

A detailed body:
