Guidelines on designing your training program: Ensure your training design appeals to all learning domains and styles i.e. cognitive, affective, and psychomotor/kinesthetic) (also known as the head, the heart, and the hands). Consider Kolbs learning styles, and learning intelligences (e.g. visual learning, or others). Try to design your training, so that it follows a learning cycle or logical sequence (i.e., the elements build upon one another). Ensure that your training design adheres to adult learning principles (andragogy as opposed to pedagogy).

Ensure your training content includes both explicit and tacit knowledge; that training simulations have physical and psychological integrity; include conditions of practice to reinforce learning. Include a variety of written training materials and handouts i.e. agenda, performance aids, participants manual, slide deck, evaluation, etc. As we are in an online environment, please provide these in a folder that participants can access electronically at the time of the presentation, or in advance, if you require advance preparation.
