Designing an information system for a retail chain$-$ TechMart

Project Overview

Scenario:

The students will take on the role of a consulting team hired by "TechMart," a mid$-$sized electronics retail chain. TechMart has multiple stores across the country and an online presence. However, they are struggling with outdated information systems, inefficient inventory management, poor customer relationship management $($CRM$),$ and lack of integration between their online and physical stores. TechMart wants to upgrade their systems to address these challenges and improve their overall business operations.

The student group will need to design a comprehensive information system for TechMart that addresses the following aspects:

Integration of physical and online store operations.

Efficient inventory and supply chain management.

Improved customer experience through enhanced CRM$.$

Business intelligence $($BI$)$ to assist in strategic decision$-$making.

Security and data management solutions.

Utilizing cloud, mobile computing, and social media for a competitive edge.
