1. Despite the hostile atmosphere it caused, it allowed the mentees to understand the consequences of uncontrolled emotions, allowing them to settle differences without violence. 
2. Reflecting on my values, the program director could defuse the situations and provide cultural training so the mentors can interact with the surrounding community to maintain peace and fulfill the agency's goals.
