- Develop an EER model of this database in ERDPlus using the traditional EER notation that we covered in class. State any assumptions you make about the additional requirements.
You are designing a bank database that will be used to keep track of two separate types of customers: accounts and loans. Customers will be identified by CustomerID and will have subtype discriminator CustomerType to distinguish account and loan type customers. Bank needs to keep track of different types of accounts (savings, checking, trust) and different types of loans (car, home, line of credit, personal). Accounts are identified with AccountNumber and have an AccountType discriminator variable to distinguish between different account types. Loans are identified with LoanNumber and have LoanType discriminator variables to distinguish between different loan types.
Suppose that it is also desirable to keep track of each account's transactions recording the type of transaction (deposits, withdrawals, checks, ), date, amount and time. Transactions are identified by transaction ID. Similarly, it is desirable to keep track of each loan's payments noting the method of payment, amount, and date. Payments are identified by payment ID.
