Porter's Five Forces Model is a well-known approach to developing a sustainable competitive advantage.

We learn from both success and failure. Choose a company that has either succeeded at gaining a competitive advantage from the customer's perspective, or a company that has failed at gaining a competitive advantage from the customer's perspective. Analyze their success or failure and identify key decisions that led to those outcomes.
