Developing a concept map for Financial Management
Your task is to create a concept map that links the concepts learned throughout the course to each other to show as many connections between the material as you can. Your map will need to include concepts from all of the chapters, and provide explanatory comments or effective use of arrows, shapes, etc. to demonstrate your understanding of the linkage between chapters. The concepts throughout BUAD 195 are very integrative in nature. For example, in the early part of the course we will learn about preparing balance sheets, which include accounts receivable. We will perform ratio analysis involving those accounts receivable. Near the end of the semester, we will talk about financial management policies around accounts receivable, such as how long we should allow our customers to pay. The topics build on each other. An effective way to begin your concept map is to start with the topic Financial Management, and your first branches from that topic will be chapters 1 8. You can then branch off of each chapter with specific topics from that chapter, and begin to connect and link those topics between chapters as we progress through the semester. Generating this concept map will ensure you have a deep understanding of how the elements of the course interact with each other
