Reflecting on the leadership readings from Chapters $5,13,$ and $15$ of the textbook has provided me with valuable insights into how different leadership styles and theories impact my personal and professional life in the military. One of the key themes that stood out to me is the importance of relational leadership, which I have observed in my interactions with superiors and peers. Their ability to build strong relationships has significantly influenced my approach to leadership within the military context.

Chapter $5$ delves into the concept of relational leadership, highlighting its effectiveness in fostering an environment of trust and collaboration $($Hofstede$,$ G$.2001).$ This resonates with my experiences in the military, where leaders who employ relational leadership techniques have created a cohesive and supportive unit. They not only lead by example but also take the time to understand the individual needs and strengths of their subordinates. This has inspired me to adopt a similar approach in my leadership roles, whether in training exercises or operational missions. By focusing on building strong relationships with my team members, I aim to create an environment that empowers everyone to perform at their best.
