Directions- This project is built around three key topics within this course to help you understand the course content using higher-order thinking skills to measure your success: estate planning, wills, and trusts. Further, you will have hands-on activities to draft estate planning documents including memos, a Revocable Living Trust, a Simple Will, and an ethical summary of your documents that addresses the following: Identify and summarize one separate ethical issue that paralegals should consider when drafting documents for each of the following settings: wills, trusts and estate planning. As such, this Portfolio Project is an opportunity for you to apply your learning and make connections by analyzing factual client scenarios. You must use Lexis Advance to research wills, trusts, estate planning forms, state and federal statutes, and cases and court opinions.
