Directions

• Write a draft based on your topic for essay 2.
• Write at least 2 full pages to get credit for your draft. But keep in mind that a finished draft is best to get the most feedback.
• Complete two peer reviews. Write comments for your peer reviews and fill out the rubric. Yes! This time you get to fill out the rubric for your peers.
• Review the feedback you received on your paper and apply the feedback to your essay before you submit the final draft.

Deadline

Your draft is due April 30 and you can submit up to May 5 for full credit. Peer reviews will not be assigned by Canvas until the assignment closes. You will see the peer reviews assigned to you starting on Monday, May 6, at 9 am.

What Do I Look For When I Give Feedback?

• Is the main point clear?
• Does the paper have a clear thesis?
• Is the tone appropriate to the audience?
• Are there any points that are unclear?
• Does the student provide enough evidence of their analysis?
• Does the student transition between ideas?
• Are there any major grammar, spelling errors?
• Does the student follow MLA format?
• Does the student include a Works Cited page?

What Do I Do With The Feedback I Receive?

• Read the comments on your draft thoughtfully.
• Incorporate the feedback you find necessary and meaningful to make your paper ready for the final draft.
• If you are unsure of what some feedback you have received means, ask me for help.

Grading Requirements

• Submit your draft on time to get assigned peer reviews.
• Complete the assigned peer reviews.
• Review the rubric and fill it out for your peers.

• Explain how artists construct their visual texts using ethos, logos, and pathos.
• Summarize your peers' work and write valuable feedback.
• Analyze and synthesize information and ideas into a substantial research paper
• Demonstrate the ability to avoid plagiarism by citing sources according to MLA style documentation
