Discovering the different models has been an interesting experience for me. The one I am most familiar "with is the waiting line model since it seems to pervade most aspects of my life. The operating charactescs or performance measures for the waiting line consider the average number of units in the line which for me are patients or cases, the average number of patients, the average time in the operating room or units, and the probability that a patient will have to wait for their procedure (Anderson et al., 2016). If we were to use a simulation model, the length of the procedure will not change but; it could show were the surgical teams could add efficiencies such as enhanced checkin or online check ins for the patients, faster turn over times and adding custom procedural based products to speed
