Case Study 1 but MR x had taken health insurance. He is a priest in a temple on one of the festivals he walked on the fire carrying the deity as a part of the ritual. During this he sustained burn injuries when he approached the insurance company, they rejected the claim saying that it is not an accident an intentional injury. The priest approached the ombudsman .There his claim was accepted and the insurance company was told to settle the claim. The ombudsman felt that even when a person is riding a bike he will be aware that there may be an accident but that doesn't mean that it is intentional. Similarly a person swimming may be well aware that due to some reasons he may drown but it is not intentional hence the OMBUDSMAN ordered the insurance company to settle the case
