Discussion 3: SQL Steps for Cash Withdrawal

We all use cash machines or at least are familiar with them. Most of them are connected to a relational database like SQL Server. While you see a simple screen that prompts you to swipe your card and press a button to select a task like depositing or withdrawing cash, there are SQL statements being processed behind the scenes.

Consider a cash withdrawal. Indicate the steps from a user perspective and note the SQL statement that you think may be being processed behind the scenes. There is no need to indicate the full syntax of the statement, just the SQL commands such as SELECT, INSERT, etc. for each step and why.
