Discussion post response (in paragraph form) to Reliability and validity are two important tools utilized in a research study. Validity measures the attributes of a topic accurately. If a variable is erratic, inconsistent, or inaccurate the variable can not be validity measured. There are three different types of validity measurement, content, criterion-related, and construct validity. Reliability is when " the instrument produces the same results if the behavior is repeatedly measured with the same scale" (Lobiondo-Wood and Harper, 2022). The instrument must focus on consistency, precision, accuracy, stability, equilavance, and homogeneity. When critiquing reliability and validity in an article each measure should be analyzed for these measurement tools.
